Project Overview
This Reedley spa had a diverter valve system that was over 15 years old with valves that were stuck and leaking. The homeowner could not switch between pool and spa modes properly, and water was dripping from the valve connections constantly. We replaced the entire valve manifold with new Schedule 40 PVC, installed a new three-way diverter valve, and rebuilt the plumbing to allow smooth operation between pool and spa.

The Challenge
The old white PVC valves had seized from years of calcium buildup and exposure to pool chemicals. The valve handles would not turn, and forcing them risked breaking the entire assembly. Several connections were weeping water and the homeowner was losing gallons per day. The plumbing layout was cramped and hard to service. They needed a solution that would last and be easy to operate without constant maintenance.
Our Solution
We shut down the system and carefully cut out the old valve manifold. We installed new black Schedule 40 PVC pipe with a modern three-way diverter valve that has smooth operation and requires minimal force to switch modes. All connections were solvent welded and tested under pressure. We upgraded to quality Jandy valves with ergonomic handles that are easy to turn. The new layout provides better access for future service and all the plumbing is properly supported to prevent stress on the connections.
