Project Overview
This Fresno family wanted a backyard pool that could grow with their kids while adding real value to their home. We built a custom freeform gunite pool with an attached spa, built-in tanning ledge, and glass tile waterline. The raised spa spills into the main pool, creating a relaxing water feature. Smooth white plaster and ocean blue tile give it a clean, modern look that works for both play and entertaining.

The Challenge
The homeowners had a blank backyard in a new development and wanted a pool design that balanced family fun with future resale value. They needed shallow areas for young kids but also wanted a spa for relaxation. The tight timeline meant coordinating excavation, plumbing, electrical, and concrete work around Central Valley summer heat and their family schedule.
Our Solution
We excavated and engineered a freeform pool design with curves that maximize swimming space without overwhelming the yard. The attached spa sits higher than the pool and feeds water over a spillway for visual and sound appeal. We added a tanning ledge with bench seating for safe shallow play. Premium glass tile in ocean tones creates a waterline accent that pops against the white plaster. New Pentair equipment includes variable speed pump and cartridge filter for energy efficiency and easy maintenance.
