This Reedley family wanted a complete backyard transformation with a custom pool and attached spa. We built everything from the ground up, including excavation, gunite shell construction, plumbing installation, tile work, plastering, and concrete decking. The result is a beautiful swimming pool with an integrated spa that's ready for years of enjoyment.

The Challenge
Starting from bare dirt meant coordinating every phase of construction carefully. The homeowners needed a pool design that fit their yard's unusual shape while leaving room for their kids to play. They also wanted the spa positioned so it got afternoon shade but still had a view of the pool. The timeline was tight because they wanted it ready before summer, and any delays in one phase would push back the entire project. Getting the plumbing layout right was critical since everything had to be installed before pouring concrete.
Our Solution
We started with precise excavation using GPS-guided equipment to get the pool shape exactly right. Our crew built a reinforced steel framework and installed all plumbing lines, including dedicated spa jets, return lines, and main drains. We then shot the gunite shell in one continuous pour to ensure structural integrity. After the shell cured, we installed blue glass tile at the waterline and premium mosaic tile in the spa. The pool received smooth white plaster while the spa got a matching finish. We poured the concrete deck with expansion joints to prevent cracking and finished it with a broom texture for safety.
