This Reedley pool had 20-year-old plaster that was rough, stained, and uncomfortable to walk on. The original tile was plain and dated. We completely refinished the pool with premium white plaster, upgraded to blue glass tile at the waterline for a modern look, and added custom decorative tile accents on the steps. The transformation turned an aging pool into something that looks brand new.

The Challenge
The existing plaster had decades of calcium buildup, surface stains that would not acid wash out, and rough patches that were uncomfortable on bare feet. The old tile was cracked in several places and the grout was deteriorating. The homeowners wanted a fresh modern look but were worried about the disruption and timeline. They needed the pool ready before summer and wanted tile that would last without constant maintenance.
Our Solution
We drained the pool and stripped all the old plaster and tile down to the gunite shell. After inspecting and patching any structural cracks, we installed premium blue glass tile at the waterline throughout the entire pool. For the steps, we created a custom pattern with alternating gray and white tiles for visual interest. We applied smooth white marcite plaster across all surfaces using proper techniques to ensure a durable finish. The entire project took two weeks from drain to refill, and we balanced the water chemistry carefully during startup to protect the new plaster.
