This Selma pool and raised spa needed a complete resurface. The plaster was over 15 years old with calcium stains that would not come out, rough patches that scraped bare feet, and the old tile looked dated. We replastered the entire pool and spa with smooth white marcite, upgraded to premium blue glass tile at all waterlines, and left the homeowners with a pool that feels brand new.

The Challenge
The old plaster had severe calcium scaling from hard Central Valley water and years of improper chemical balance. The surface was so rough in places that kids were complaining about scraping their feet on the bottom. The tile was cracked in multiple spots and the grout was deteriorating. The spa had additional staining from high temperatures. The homeowners wanted a modern look and a surface that was comfortable to walk on, but they needed the project done quickly before summer.
Our Solution
We drained both the pool and spa and removed all old plaster and tile down to the gunite shell. After inspecting and repairing any structural cracks, we installed premium blue glass tile at the waterline throughout the pool and spa. We applied fresh white marcite plaster to all surfaces using proper techniques for a smooth durable finish. The project took two weeks from drain to refill. We carefully balanced the water chemistry during startup to protect the new plaster and prevent staining.
